As a dutiful investor, you must take care to fund your fund house with every bit of personal information that’s relevant to your MF. The info you provide must contain your permanent and contact address, your e-mail ID contact (if any), your mobile phone number, your residence phone number, your PAN card information, the bank a/c details via which you would like the fund transactions to take place, the IFSC code of your bank, and also the KYC (Know-your-client) compliance.
If any change occurs in any of the above mentioned details during your investment tenure with the company, you must immediately notify it, to help it forward all relevant messages, mails and posts to you at regular intervals correctly. Updating the info, as and when required, helps you get better service from your fund house, as also scale down the risks of financial scams.
Fund industry experts are of the opinion that while all of these details are crucial, your contact address and your bank a/c details are the most important.
